For furniture, shipping is calculated on a per-order basis. Factors such as carrier options, delivery address, and product size and weight vary greatly, and shipping cannot currently be calculated at checkout. We will send an email with shipping options and pricing within 2 days of receipt of your order (though often within 24 hours).

To give you a general idea of normal shipping costs:

Small tables usually range from $80–200
Morticed / Wedged throw ladders usually range from $50–150

Please note that shipping insurance is automatically added to all orders of $100 and above.

All furniture items ship in a custom crate built by us to ensure maximum safety during transport. Furniture ships ready-to-use with no assembly required.

Product Care

We finish all furniture with a 100% organic proprietary hard wax, and include a sample to get you started for ongoing care. You can either order more wax from us or use a furniture wax from another reputable supplier. But either way, we recommend that you continue to condition your furniture frequently to keep it looking beautiful for years to come.

If using Oliver Inc. Furniture Wax, apply a small amount to a microfiber cloth and buff it onto the surface in a circular motion. Let sit for 5–10 minutes, and then remove excess by buffing with a fresh microfiber.

Things to Know

Intended Use

In order to avoid damage to the wood, please do not hang wet items on your ladder. While our hand-crafted furniture is sturdy and heirloom quality, it is built for its intended use only, and should not be sit, stood or climbed upon, or loaded with heavy weight.

Imperfections

One of our favorite things about hand-crafting products is that each piece bears imperfections that make it uniquely yours. Please know that when you buy something from us, what you receive will be perfectly imperfect—and that’s something to celebrate.

A Gentle Slant

A 12 degree pitch is used to allow for easy access to your linens. It also prevents any unnecessary creases from forming.

Space Saving

A small footprint leaves more room for activities. Hang as many towels / blankets as you’d like.

Horton was Here

Our throw ladders use variations of the strongest joints in woodworking: the mortise and tenon. Shown to the left is our Tusked Throw Ladder. Choose your option at checkout.

Non-marring contact pads prevent scuff marks from appearing on your walls; the same pads adhere to the feet of the ladder preventing it from slipping.

The Finish

We use a 50/50 mix of tung oil and citrus solvent for the majority of our finishing. Several layers are hand massaged into the wood to protect your throw ladder from the perils of a wet towel.
